The summer movie season is right around the corner. Every year, there is a handful of blockbuster movies lined up. 2010 is no exception with many tentpoles like "Iron Man 2", "Prince of Persia", or "Shrek After Forever". Here is our extremely early preview of most anticipated summer movies, on which should be kept an eye. 

 

"The Twilight Saga's Eclipse"

 

The third installment of the Twilight Eclipse, an upcoming romantic fantasy movie is scheduled for release on June 30, 2010. Fans over the word will have chance to see the continuation of the love triangle between vampire Edward Cullen, human Bella Swan, and werewolf Jacob Black. Eclipse will be the third installment of the Twilight Saga film series, following Twilight in 2008 and New Moon in 2009. Eclipse casts are Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, Billy Burke as Charlie Swan, Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen, and so on.

"Shrek Forever After"

 

"Shrek Forever After", the final chapter in 3D is an upcoming American animated movie and is scheduled for released in cinemas on May 21, 2010.

 

After all of his adventures, Shrek has become a domesticated family ogre. Shrek is tricked into signing a pact with Rumpelstiltskin and could not resist the offer of having a day off and being a real ogre again. He suddenly finds himself in a twisted version of Far Far Away. Shrek is responsible for undoing all of Rumpelstiltskin's mischief, hopefully restoring his world, saving his friends, and reclaiming his one True Love and family.

"Sex and the City 2"

 

Sex and the City 2, an upcoming installment to the 2008 Sex and the City movie, is scheduled for release on May 27, 2010. After two years, the marriage of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) is on the verge on breakup when she catches her husband flirting a Spanish girl at a bar. Carrie and her friends Samantha Jones, Miranda Hobbes Brady, and Charlotte York arrive in Abu Dhabi and have great time there.

"Salt"

 

"Salt", which is an upcoming American action thriller film, is directed by Phillip Noyce, who made the 1990s-era Jack Ryan films with Harrison Ford, Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger. The most striking point in this film is the starring of the famous Hollywood actress named Angelina Jolie. Angelina as Evelyn Salt tries to clear her name after she is accused of being a Russian sleeper agent. Using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative, she must protect her husband or the world's most powerful forces will erase any trace of her existence.

"Iron Man 2"

 

The movie directed by Jon Favreau is scheduled for release on May 7th, 2010. He is unwilling to let go of his invention, he cooperates with Pepper Potts and James "Rhodey Rhodes to confront powerful enemies.

It is a promising movie for the summer movies of 2010 with the casting of Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Wantanable, Joseph Gordon - Levitt, and Tom Hardy.

"Prince of Persia : Sands of Time"

 

The movie is set in medieval Persia. It is about the story of an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop a ruler from unleashing a sandstorm. It is up to the prince and the princess to return the sands to the hourglass. The movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan, Gemma Arterton as Princess Tamina, Alfred Molina as Sheik Amar, and Ben Kingsley as Nizam.

"Knight & Day"

 

The film is scheduled for release on June 25, 2010, starring Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Maggie Grace, and Paul Dano. It is an action-comedy centered on a fugitive couple on a glamorous and sometimes deadly adventure. The couple race across the globe amidst shifting alliances and unexpected betrayals.
